Dear fellow Buyu,
Latest update on the progress of the Kunoichi Taikai…
A reminder, registration is now open. The registration page is translated into Spanish, German and English, and the French version is in progress. The option of a bank transfer or payment via credit card or a Paypal account is available through Paypal. Only a 50€ deposit is needed to reserve your space. The balance must be paid by May 31st. After this date we cannot guarantee accommodations or meals. Registration with full payment is open until August 31st. You will be notified when accommodations are full. In this case, we will compile a list of hotels and guesthouses you can refer to in finding your lodgings. It is our recommendation that you register as soon as possible to make your stay and your training as comfortable as possible.
Rooms in the Akademie des Sport will be filled first, followed by the Youth Hostel which is a 3 minute walk away. We are encouraging everyone to register as early as possible, even if you just send in your deposit, it will give us an idea of how many are attending, as well as being able to fulfill our financial contract to Akademie des Sports well before the event begins.
To give you an idea of the scope of this event, one you won’t…shouldn’t…just can’t…miss, here is a listing of the instructors to date:

Support the Event
Support the Kunoichi travels!
Some of the participants wishing to come have never travelled and feel a bit insecure in this area. Some women have offered help as a ”travel coordinator” for their country, connecting with and helping to organize a group travel, so all the women can feel secure and safe in a long distance travel such as this. If you are interested in attending the Taikai and do not feel comfortable traveling alone, please email us and we will help connect you with other women to travel with. On the other side, if you are interested in helping out in this area and would like to be a point of contact for women in your country, please email us and we will add you to the list. Let’s all support each other!
Ways you can help……
We have posters you can print and share with others and banners for posting on your website. You can access the posters in 2 sizes, A4 and Letter. The banners can be accessed here and for an animated banner, here. Please also pass it on to other dojos – we are trying to e-mail as many as we can but there must be many, many more of us.
If you know companies or businesses who might like to sponsor or donate please contact us. We have a letter that can be sent to them with specific information.
Have you considered a fund raiser in your dojo to support female students attending? We have heard of some dojos holding a special event or seminar to help with the travel costs. What a great idea!
You might consider a personal or dojo donation to help defray some of the costs, as we are trying to keep this very reasonable. Any small amount is helpful.
Spread the word!!
